IF WE BELIEVED WHAT THE BIBLE SAID - #5

If anyone has material possessions and sees a brother or sister in need but has no pity on them, how can the love of God be in that person
(1 John 3:17)

In America more than 65% of the population believes they are “Born Again”. When Y’shua was talking to Nicodemus He said that one must be born of water and spirit. While Nicodemus was confused, this was a statement that he should have known well (John 3:7, 10).

Y’shua was relating an Old Testament teaching to the term Born Again. Y’shua was not talking about baptism. In fact, baptism is no where in the context of this conversation. He was relating to facts that Nicodemus should have known and is seen most clear in Ezekiel 36 because they are back to back just as Y’shua stated it.

“‘For I will take you out of the nations; I will gather you from all the countries and bring you back into your own land. 25 I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you will be clean; I will cleanse you from all your impurities and from all your idols. 26 I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh. 27 And I will put my Spirit in you and move you to follow my decrees and be careful to keep my laws.”
(Ezekiel 36:24-27)

In New Birth, God cleanses us from our sins; but it does not stop there, He also gives us a heart of flesh and put’s His Spirit within us. This would mean that God’s love abides in us. This is important as this is the ONLY way to go to Heaven.

Y’shua said, “Very truly I tell you, no one can see the kingdom of God unless they are born again.” (John 3:3). That is a stout statement; and it begs the question, “Are you Born Again?”

John gives us a clear sign to gauge whether or not we are Born Again. If we are able to live in our luxuries, have homes filled with dust collectors that do not feed and do not warm, give more into our comforts and pleasures, and not care about the multitudes around the world who are starving, dying, and lost, The love of God is NOT in us; which would mean we are NOT Born Again.

The facts based around the statistics are that while 65% of Americans believe they are born again, only 4% actually live according to the Bible.

We should be turning off the entertainment and falling on our faces before God.
