IF WE BELIEVED WHAT THE BIBLE SAID - #3

Many will say to me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name and in your name drive out demons and in your name perform many miracles? ’ 23 Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers! ’
(Matthew 7:22-23 NIV)

What Y’shua is saying here is that it’s possible for me to stand before Him one day and hear Him say, “I never knew you”. It is possible for you to stand there before Him and for Him to say, “I never knew you”.

If we are standing on a salvation prayer and believing in Jesus as the completion of our salvation, while listening to a pastor and only reading the Bible while being led by pastors and evangelist, it’s quite possible to be part of that many. We dare not fool ourselves. If we do not take the time to study the Word of God to find ourselves approved, we could be one of the many. This is the reason I’ve started this list of “IF WE BELIEVED WHAT THE BIBLE SAID”. We need to see what the Bible says about our salvation and here we have Y’shua saying, “There will be many religious people who believe in Me, go to church, preach, do many things, doing them all in My Name, yet they still do not know me; and I don’t know them”. He’s saying, “There are many who believe they are saved and they are not”. If we are standing upon the modern gospel of believe, confess, and say the prayer and do not take the time from the things and pleasures of this world to truly study the Bible and honestly examine our lives, our odds to hear “I never knew you” is greatly increased.

If we really believed what the Bible said, and in this case what Y’shua said, would we not study the Bible more? Would we turn off the TV, turn off the YouTube and Facebook, and open up the Bible to see what it says?
