HOUSE DIVIDED

During the Council of Trent, there was a battle between the Reformation and the roman catholic church. The battle was whether the standards for the followers of God be based on the Bible or church traditions. The church was saying, “the church and the church only is the standard”. While the Reformation was saying, “the Bible and the Bible only shall be the standard”.

The battle between the two ended on one point. The catholic church said they could prove that the Reformers followed church tradition rather than the Bible. They proved this point based on the Lord’s Sabbath; because the Reformers kept sunday instead of Sabbath.

I was sent this article where the Wales government said that Christians have no right not to work on Sunday. While I don’t really disagree: as the Lord’s Sabbath is the seventh day, the “christian” community says “their” sabbath is Sunday and it’s not right this happened.

The same thing is happening here as happened during the Council of Trent. Satan has entered into the “body of Christ” and caused a division. People have twisted, pulled out of context, mis-represented, and went against clear Biblical principles so much that no one knows what truth is. They’ve been blinded by antichrist teachings that directly contradict the teachings of Christ and the writings that God preserved for our understanding. They forsake the true study of God’s Word for pleasures of this world; and they remain divided among understanding, beliefs, and practices.

“A house divided among itself will fall”. Why is the church falling? No commitment. It’s time we as Christians stand up, not merely in battle against laws that are against us, but, stand up for the reconstruction of the “temple”, the “house”, which Christ built. It’s time we stop playing games and playing in the things of the world while ignoring the things of God. We should have a desire, a longing, yearning to study our God.

As the hart panteth after the water brooks, so panteth my soul after thee, O God.
Psalms 42:1 (KJV)
