INTRODUCTION

The most prominent message of salvation, in religion today, is a false teaching of, what I call, a “Candy Coated Rotten Apple Theology”. “Repeat this five point prayer after me, and you will be saved”, they say. Then you need to go to church; preferably theirs. From there they will teach a doctrine of save IN their sin while in all actuality, according to the Bible, they are still lost IN their sin.

The pages in this category look at what the Bible defines as sin and what it defines as salvation. It covers all aspects from grace, righteousness, etc. Study through the Word of YHWH and don’t let yourself be deceived by smooth talking pastors and evangelists; don’t be willfully ignorant.

WHAT IS SIN - Section 1

1.1 Different types of sin
Keeping mercy for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin,

1.2 The Bible’s definition of sin:
Old Testament words for sin –
“Pesha” – transgression, rebellion (Exod. 34:7; Psa. 32:1, 2)
“Avon” – that which is twisted or crooked (Psa. 51: 2, 5)

New Testament words for sin –
“Hamartia” – to miss the mark (Rom. 3:23; Eph. 4:26)
“Parabasis” – transgressing or overpassing a line (Rom. 4:15; Gal. 3:19)
“Paraptoma” – falling where one should have stood (Rom. 4:25; 5:15)
“Anomia” – lawlessness (Matt. 7:23; 13:41)
“Adikia” – bending the right and making it crooked (2 Tim. 2:19;
Acts 8:23)

1.3 Sin’s of Commission
15 Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. 16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.

NOTE: As the example shown in the Old Covenant, the sin of ignorance is the ONLY sin covered by Christ.

NOTE: Notice that “Idolatry” is not just serving idols but includes sexual immorality, evil desires, and covetousness or the love of money and things. For, all these are those “which is idolatry”

5 Even so the tongue is a little member, and boasts great things. Behold, how great a matter a little fire kindles! 6 And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity: so is the tongue among our members, that it defile the whole body, and sets on fire the course of nature; and it is set on fire of hell.

9 Do you not know that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? NOTE: They “WERE” these things. They are justified in the name of Christ but they also had to be washed, they had to be sanctified, they had to turn from their sin.

2.1 Guilt
And they heard the voice of the Lord God walking in the garden in the cool of the day: and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the Lord God amongst the trees of the garden.

2 Corinthians 5:20 20 Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be you reconciled to God. (Be reconciled to God - talking to the church that they are to be reconciled; which is to say they are not yet)

3.2 Old Testament
22 And Samuel said, Has the Lord much great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the Lord? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to hearken than the fat of rams. 23 For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry. Because you have rejected the word of the Lord, he has also rejected you from being king.

They give offerings yet do not live by the judgement of God (we will be judged by the Law (Ten Commandments)) and do not love as God.

SAVED BY GRACE - Section 5

5.1 Saved by Grace, not by Works
Romans 3:20 20 Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin.
NOTE:
The Law NEVER justified us, thus no one could ever, even in Old Covenant times, be justified by the Law. The Law only shows us the sin.

Romans 3:28 28 Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law.

Galatians 2:16 16 Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Y’shua the Messiah, even we have believed in Y’shua the Messiah, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.

Galatians 3:2-5 2 This only would I learn of you, Received you the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith? 3 Are you so foolish? having begun in the Spirit, are you now made perfect by the flesh? 4 Have you suffered so many things in vain? if it be yet in vain. 5 He therefore that ministered to you the Spirit, and works miracles among you, does he it by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?
NOTE:
- No one, neither Jew nor Gentile, ever became righteous by doing the Law. They came to the decision to do the Law through spiritual revelation that this was the will of Elohim.
- Galatians 3:6-9 6 Even as Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness. 7 Know you therefore that they which are of faith, the same are the children of Abraham. 8 And the scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the heathen through faith, preached before the gospel unto Abraham, saying, In you shall all nations be blessed. 9 So then they which be of faith are blessed with faithful Abraham.
- Paul gives climax to his argument that Abraham heard the voice of Adonai, by obeying that voice, it was credited to him for righteousness.

5.2 What is Saved by Grace?
Ephesians 2:4-5 4 But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us, 5 Even when we were dead in sins, has quickened us together with Christ, (by grace you are saved;)

5.3 Grace Leads Us to Good Works
8 For by grace are you saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: 9 Not of works, lest any man should boast. [Most people stop here]10 For WE ARE HIS WORKMANSHIP, created in Y’shua the Messiah UNTO GOOD WORKS, which God has before ordained that WE SHOULD WALK IN THEM.
Eph 2:8-10
NOTE:
- Jews were coming into the churches of the gentiles and telling them they had to do all these ceremonial acts to be saved:
Galatians 2:4 “And that because of false brethren unawares brought in, who came in privily to spy out our liberty which we have in Y’shua the Messiah, that they might bring us into bondage:”.
- Paul told in Gal 3:11 “the just shall live by faith”; which is also an old testament teaching:
Habakkuk 2:4 “Behold, his soul which is lifted up is not upright in him: but the just shall live by his faith.”
After this statement he starts talking of circumcision; which is the works to which we are not saved by.

For the
grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men,
Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and Godly, in this present world;
Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and Y’shua the Messiah, our Savior;
Titus 2:11-13

And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that you, always having all sufficiency in all things, MAY ABOUND TO EVERY GOOD WORK:
2 Cor 9:8

20 Moreover the law entered, that the offence might abound. But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound: 21 That as sin has reigned unto death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life by Y’shua the Messiah our Lord.

NOTE:
Supplication - a vocalized cry in prayer: In Hebrew signifies a olive branch wrapped in cloth waved seeking surrender. These were called branches of supplication.

Romans 6:14-15 14 For sin shall not have dominion over you: for you are not under the law, but under grace. 15 What then? shall we sin, because we are not under the law, but under grace? God forbid.
NOTE:
- Many stop right there and claim a salvation under grace only. Let’s continue for a couple more verses:
Romans 6:16 16 Know you not, that to whom you yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants you are to whom you obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?
- Grace saves us, works does not save us. Sin must not rule over us, transgression of the Law must not be part of our lives. So, since grace saves me, shall I now be able to sin? “Certainly not!”.
- Verse 14 says, “sin shall not have dominion over you”. What does this mean?
- Romans 6:3-6 3 Know you not, that so many of us as were baptized into Y’shua the Messiah were baptized into his death? 4 Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. 5 For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection: 6 Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.
- Romans 6:12-13 12 Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that you should obey it in the lusts thereof. 13 Neither yield you your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God.


5.4 Grace Without Works
1 What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? 2 God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?
Romans 6:1-2

James 2:14-26 (KJV) 14 What does it profit, my brethren, though a man say he has faith, and have not works? can faith save him? 15 If a brother or sister be naked, and destitute of daily food, 16 And one of you say unto them, Depart in peace, be you warmed and filled; notwithstanding you give them not those things which are needful to the body; what does it profit? 17 Even so faith, if it has not works, is dead, being alone. 18 Yea, a man may say, You have faith, and I have works: show me your faith without your works, and I will show you my faith by my works. 19 You believe that there is one God; you do well: the devils also believe, and tremble. 20 But will you know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead? 21 Was not Abraham our father justified by works, when he had offered Isaac his son upon the altar? 22 See you how faith worked with his works, and by works was faith made perfect? 23 And the scripture was fulfilled which saith, Abraham believed God, and it was imputed unto him for righteousness: and he was called the Friend of God. 24 You see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only. 25 Likewise also was not Rahab the harlot justified by works, when she had received the messengers, and had sent them out another way? 26 For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.

5.5 Grace At Work
Hebrews 12:5-11 5 And you have forgotten the exhortation which speaks unto you as unto children, My son, despise not you the chastening of the Lord, nor faint when you art rebuked of him: 6 For whom the Lord loves he chastens, and scourges every son whom he receives. 7 If you endure chastening, God deals with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chastens not? 8 But if you be without chastisement, whereof all are partakers, then are you bastards, and not sons. 9 Furthermore we have had fathers of our flesh which corrected us, and we gave them reverence: shall we not much rather be in subjection unto the Father of spirits, and live? 10 For they verily for a few days chastened us after their own pleasure; but he for our profit, that we might be partakers of his holiness. 11 Now no chastening for the present seems to be joyous, but grievous: nevertheless afterward it yields the peaceable fruit of righteousness unto them which are exercised thereby.
NOTE:
This is grace at work, the teaching (Titus 2:11-13) to live a holy, Godly life.

5.6 Grace is for Sinners
1 Timothy 1:9-13 9 Knowing this, that the law is not made for a righteous man, but for the lawless and disobedient, for the ungodly and for sinners, for unholy and profane, for murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, for murderers of man, 10 For whoremongers, for them that defile themselves with mankind, for thieves, for liars, for perjured persons, and IF THERE BE ANY OTHER THING CONTRARY TO SOUND DOCTRINE; 11 According to the glorious gospel of the blessed God, which was committed to my trust. 12 And I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who hath enabled me, for that he counted me faithful, putting me into the ministry; 13 Who was before a blasphemer, and a persecutor, and injurious: but I obtained mercy, because I did it ignorantly in unbelief.
NOTE:
Paul received mercy because of sinning in ignorance because of unbelief. We’ve seen that grace is not for those who believe yet sin in rebellion. To them is the fearful wrath of God; which is to come. This is understood as the context of the message in which who the law is for.

5.7 Old Testament Grace
And he believed in the Lord; and he counted it to him for righteousness.
Gen 15:6

For what saith the scripture? Abraham believed God, and it was counted unto him for righteousness.
Romans 4:3

Even as David also describes the blessedness of the man, unto whom God imputes righteousness without works,
Romans 4:6

And the father of circumcision to them who are not of the circumcision only, but who also walk in the steps of that faith of our father Abraham, which he had being yet uncircumcised.

28 Then said they unto him, What shall we do, that we might work the works of God? 29 Y’shua answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that you believe on him whom he has sent.

6.1 The Milk of Teaching
Hebrews 6:1-2 1 Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection; not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God, 2 Of the doctrine of baptisms, and of laying on of hands, and of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment.
NOTE:
Why should the “foundation of repentance from dead works” not be taught further in their circle?
Hebrews 5:12-14 12 For when for the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need that one teach you again which be the first principles of the oracles of God; and are become such as have need of milk, and not of strong meat. 13 For every one that useth milk is unskilful in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe. 14 But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.
NOTE:
Those who still have not grasped the “milk of the word” which is righteousness through good works, it is he who had not grown; and is still a babe.

6.2 Direct Command to “DO”
Deut 30: (Moses said over and over to “do it”); like wise we are told in the New Testament:

Luke 11:28 28 But he said, Yea rather, blessed are they that hear the word of God, and keep it.

Luke 8:21 21 And he answered and said unto them, My mother and my brethren are these which hear the word of God, and do it.

For not the hearers of the law are just before God, but the doers of the law shall be justified.
Romans 2:13

Matthew 7:21 21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that does the will of my Father which is in heaven.

6.3 Keeping His Commands
John 14:21-24 21 He that has my commandments, and keeps them, he it is that loves me: and he that loves me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him. 22 Judas saith unto him, not Iscariot, Lord, how is it that you will manifest thyself unto us, and not unto the world? 23 Y’shua answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him. 24 He that loves me not keeps not my sayings: and the word which you hear is not mine, but the Father's which sent me.

For not the hearers of the law are just before God, but the doers of the law shall be justified.

6.4 Doing Good Deeds is Required
Titus 3:14 14 And let ours also learn to maintain good works for necessary uses, that they be not unfruitful.
NOTE:
Works is fruits and fruits works. Fruit is the actions in which one does; their talk and their deeds.

Matthew 7:16-20 16 You shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles? 17 Even so every good tree brings forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree brings forth evil fruit. 18 A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. 19 Every tree that brings not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire. 20 Wherefore by their fruits you will know them.
NOTE:
There are two types of fruit. There is the fruit of the Spirit (Gal 5:22-23). Then there is fruit that is produced because of the fruit of the Spirit (Matt 13:22-23; John 17:18, 20; James 5:20)

1 John 2:28-29 28 And now, little children, abide in him; that, when he shall appear, we may have confidence, and not be ashamed before him at his coming. 29 If you know that he is righteous, you know that every one that does righteousness is born of him.

Ephesians 2:10 10 For we are his workmanship, created in Y’shua the Messiah unto good works, which God has before ordained that we should walk in them.

Matthew 5:16 16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.

Titus 2:11-14 11 For the grace of God that brings salvation hath appeared to all men, 12 Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world; 13 Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and Y’shua the Messiah, our Savior; 14 Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.

Luke 3:8 8 Bring forth therefore fruits worthy of repentance, and begin not to say within yourselves, We have Abraham to our father: for I say unto you, That God is able of these stones to raise up children unto Abraham.
NOTE: “Fruit” is works or deeds. We must bring these forth which are good enough unto repentance

Titus 3:8 8 This is a faithful saying, and these things I will that thou affirm constantly, that they which have believed in God might be careful to maintain good works. These things are good and profitable unto men.

6.5 A Walk LIKE Christ is Required
4 Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.

Matthew 16:24 24 Then said Y’shua unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and TAKE UP HIS CROSS, and follow me.

6.6 Work of Love
Galatians 5:6 6 For in Y’shua the Messiah neither circumcision avails any thing, nor uncircumcision; but faith which works by love. NOTE: has a working principle behind it

Hebrews 6:9-12
9 But, beloved, we are persuaded better things of you, and things that accompany salvation, though we thus speak. 10 For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shewed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister. 11 And we desire that every one of you do shew the same diligence to the full assurance of hope unto the end: 12 That ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises.

NOTE:
This is the WHOLE key behind works; we do it because we love God

6.7 Faith and No Works
What we see with these passages, along with the Bible as a whole, there is nothing you can do to be saved, because we can never be good enough. God saves us by His mercy and grace. Just because He saves us by His mercy and grace does not mean that we are void of doing any good works; they actually are required as He gave us good works so we then go give to others.

James 2:14-17 14 What does it profit, my brethren, though a man say he has faith, and have not works? can faith save him? 15 If a brother or sister be naked, and destitute of daily food, 16 And one of you say unto them, Depart in peace, be you warmed and filled; notwithstanding you give them not those things which are needful to the body; what does it profit? 17 Even so faith, if it has not works, is dead, being alone.

James 2:26 26 For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.

Titus 3:5 5 Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;

James 2:18 18 Yea, a man may say, You have faith, and I have works: show me your faith without your works, and I will show you my faith by my works.

The beholding in a glass and forgetting is that based on Elohim giving us a new heart; and we then seeing who we were.
Ezekiel 36:24-26 ,31 24 For I will take you from among the heathen, and gather you out of all countries, and will bring you into your own land. 25 Then will I sprinkle clean water upon you, and you will be clean: from all your filthiness, and from all your idols, will I cleanse you. 26 A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh. 31 Then will you remember your own evil ways, and your doings that were not good, and will lothe yourselves in your own sight for your iniquities and for your abominations.
6.8 Judgement Based on Works
Our WORKS demonstrate whether or not we’ve embraced YHWH’s Grace.

Romans 2:6-10 6 Who will render to every man according to his deeds: 7 To them who by patient continuance in well doing seek for glory and honor and immortality, eternal life: 8 But unto them that are contentious, and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, indignation and wrath, 9 Tribulation and anguish, upon every soul of man that does evil, of the Jew first, and also of the Gentile; 10 But glory, honor, and peace, to every man that works good, to the Jew first, and also to the Gentile:

12 And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.
Rev 22:12

17 And if you call on the Father, who without respect of persons judges according to every man's work, pass the time of your sojourning here in fear:

27 For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels; and then he shall reward every man according to his works.

NOTE: The Jews were trying to establish their own righteousness. They were doing it by the letter of the law: Romans 10:3 3 For they being ignorant of YHWH's righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God.
Matthew 6:23 23 But if your eye be evil, your whole body shall be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in you be darkness, how great is that darkness!

7.2 Old Testament Repentance
Ezekiel 18:31 31 Cast away from you all your transgressions, whereby you have transgressed; and make you a new heart and a new spirit: for why will you die, O house of Israel?

Jonah 3:5-10 5 So the people of Nineveh believed God, and proclaimed a fast, and put on sackcloth, from the greatest of them even to the least of them. 6 For word came unto the king of Nineveh, and he arose from his throne, and he laid his robe from him, and covered him with sackcloth, and sat in ashes. 7 And he caused it to be proclaimed and published through Nineveh by the decree of the king and his nobles, saying, Let neither man nor beast, herd nor flock, taste any thing: let them not feed, nor drink water: 8 But let man and beast be covered with sackcloth, and cry mightily unto God: yea, let them turn every one from his evil way, and from the violence that is in their hands. 9 Who can tell if God will turn and repent, and turn away from his fierce anger, that we perish not? 10 And God saw their works, that they turned from their evil way; and God repented of the evil, that he had said that he would do unto them; and he did it not.

NOTE: Sins to disqualify from kingdom. He goes on to say and such were some of you but you were washed, you were sanctified. How are you washed but still dirty? Your sanctified but your still filthy inside? Your justified IN your sins?

Proverbs 8:13 13 The fear of the LORD is to hate evil: pride, and arrogance, and the evil way, and the froward mouth, do I hate.
Psalm 97:10 10 You that love the LORD, hate evil: he preserves the souls of his saints; he delivers them out of the hand of the wicked.

James 5:20 20 Let him know, that he which converts the sinner from the error of his way shall save a soul from death, and shall hide a multitude of sins.

8.1 Unrighteous

2 Thessalonians 2:8-12 (ASV) 8 And then shall be revealed the lawless one, whom the Lord Y’shua shall slay with the breath of his mouth, and bring to nought by the manifestation of his coming; 9 even he, whose coming is according to the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders, 10 and with all deceit of unrighteousness for them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. 11 And for this cause God sends them a working of error, that they should believe a lie: 12 that they all might be judged who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.
NOTE:
- The KJV says: “Then that Wicked be revealed”. “Wicked” from the Greek word “anomos” which is lawless or wicked because of lawlessness.
- Paul is talking about one who does not keep the Ten Commandments. Those who follow will perish because they refuse to love the truth and so be saved. Because they REFUSE, “Elohim sends them strong delusions, so that they will believe the lie”

2 Peter 2:12-22 12 But these, as natural brute beasts, made to be taken and destroyed, speak evil of the things that they understand not; and shall utterly perish in their own corruption; 13 And shall receive the reward of unrighteousness, as they that count it pleasure to riot in the day time. Spots they are and blemishes, sporting themselves with their own deceivings while they feast with you; 14 Having eyes full of adultery, and THAT CANNOT CEASE FROM SIN; beguiling unstable souls: an heart they have exercised with covetous practices; cursed children: 15 Which have forsaken the right way, and are gone astray, following the way of Balaam the son of Bosor, who loved the wages of unrighteousness; 16 But was rebuked for his iniquity: the dumb ass speaking with man's voice forbad the madness of the prophet (Num 22:22-35). 17 These are wells without water, clouds that are carried with a tempest; to whom the mist of darkness is reserved for ever. 18 For when they speak great swelling words of vanity, they allure through the lusts of the flesh, through much wantonness, those that were clean escaped from them who live in error. 19 While they promise them liberty, they themselves are the servants of corruption: for of whom a man is overcome, of the same is he brought in bondage. 20 For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein, and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the beginning (Matt 12:43-45). 21 For it had been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than, after they have known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered unto them. 22 But it is happened unto them according to the true proverb, The dog is turned to his own vomit again; and the sow that was washed to her wallowing in the mire.

1 Peter 4:17-19 (KJV) 17 For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God? 18 And IF THE RIGHTEOUS SCARCELY BE SAVED, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear? 19 Wherefore let them that suffer according to the will of God commit the keeping of their souls to him in well doing, as unto a faithful Creator.


8.2 Old Testament Righteousness
Proverbs 2:4-9 4 If you seek her as silver, and search for her as for hid treasures; 5 Then shalt you understand the fear of the LORD, and find the knowledge of God. 6 For the LORD giveth wisdom: out of his mouth cometh knowledge and understanding. 7 He lays up sound wisdom for the righteous: he is a buckler to them that walk uprightly. 8 He keeps the paths of judgment, and preserves the way of his saints. 9 Then shalt you understand righteousness, and judgment, and equity; yea, every good path.

Isaiah 61:10 10 I will greatly rejoice in the LORD, my soul shall be joyful in my God; for he has clothed me with the garments of salvation, he has covered me with the robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decks himself with ornaments, and as a bride adorns herself with her jewels.

Job 29:14 14 I put on righteousness, and it clothed me: my judgment was as a robe and a diadem.

Romans 6:12-13 12 Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that you should obey it in the lusts thereof. 13 Neither yield you your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God.

Deuteronomy 6:25 25 And it shall be our righteousness, if we observe to do all these commandments before the LORD our God, as he has commanded us.

Galatians 3:6-9 6 Even as Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness. 7 Know you therefore that they which are of faith, the same are the children of Abraham. 8 And the scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the heathen through faith, preached before the gospel unto Abraham, saying, In you shall all nations be blessed. 9 So then they which be of faith are blessed with faithful Abraham.
NOTE:
- Paul gives climax to his argument (Gal 3:1-5) that Abraham heard the voice of Adonai, by obeying that voice, it was credited to him for righteousness.

8.3 Righteousness by Works
The Bible does not say Christ was imputed as righteousness; it says that faith is imputed as righteousness. Abraham, by his faith his deeds were made perfect.
Romans 4:17-25 17 (As it is written, I have made you a father of many nations,) before him whom he believed, even God, who quickens the dead, and calls those things which be not as though they were. 18 Who against hope believed in hope, that he might become the father of many nations, according to that which was spoken, So shall your seed be. 19 And being not weak in faith, he considered not his own body now dead, when he was about an hundred years old, neither yet the deadness of Sara's womb: 20 He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God; 21 And being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able also to perform. 22 And therefore it was imputed to him for righteousness. 23 Now it was not written for his sake alone, that it was imputed to him; 24 But for us also, to whom it shall be imputed, if we believe on him that raised up Y’shua our Lord from the dead; 25 Who was delivered for our offences, and was raised again for our justification.

Romans 3:25 25 Whom God has set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;
NOTE: Like the lamb, in the example of the Tabernacle, the blood is for the covering of sins past. If one sins again, they must return to the blood. In this, we crucify the Son of God afresh: Hebrews 6:4-6 “For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost, And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come, If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame.” For those who continue in sin tread the blood of Christ underfoot: Hebrews 10:29 Of how much sorer punishment, do you suppose, will he who thought to be worthy, who has trodden under foot the Son of God, and has counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and has done despite unto the Spirit of grace?
NOTE:
Therefore those who continue in their sin, the blood of Christ will not cover them:
Hebrews 10:26 “For if we sin willfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remains no more sacrifice for sins,” Instead, because of the example given, and the grace shown now; those who continue in their sin will be for severely judged: Hebrews 10:27-29 “But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries. He that despised Moses' law died without mercy under two or three witnesses: Of how much sorer punishment, suppose you, shall he be thought worthy, who has trodden under foot the Son of God, and has counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and has done despite unto the Spirit of grace?”

Romans 8:4-6 4 That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. 5 For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit. 6 For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.

Romans 14:17-19 17 For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost. 18 For he that in these things serves Christ is acceptable to God, and approved of men. 19 Let us therefore follow after the things which make for peace, and things wherewith one may edify another.
NOTE: He is talking here that righteousness does not come in the works of the ceremonial laws (meats and drinks): And it shall be the prince's part to give burnt offerings, and MEAT offerings, and DRINK offerings, in the feasts, and in the NEW MOON, and in the SABBATHS, in all solemnities of the house of Israel: he shall prepare the sin offering, and the meat offering, and the burnt offering, and the peace offerings, TO MAKE RECONCILIATION for the house of Israel. Ezekiel 45:17

2 Corinthians 9:10 10 Now he that ministers seed to the sower both minister bread for your food, and multiply your seed sown, and increase the fruits of your righteousness;)
NOTE: This is a parallel to the parable of the sower (Matt 13:1-8). The fruit produced in some hundred, some sixty, and some thirty fold is souls which are saved, as we see in this passage. He will multiply the see sown which will increase the fruit of righteousness. Therefore, a work that leads to righteousness is sowing seed; better said, witnessing the truth of Christ.

Matthew 6:33 33 But seek you first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

2 Timothy 3:16-17 16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: 17 That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.

1 Corinthians 15:34 Awake to righteousness, and sin not; for some have not the knowledge of God: I speak this to your shame.

8.4 Covering Sin
Psalm 85:2-7 2 You have forgiven the iniquity of your people, you have covered all their sin. Selah. 3 You have taken away all your wrath: you have turned thyself from the fierceness of your anger. 4 Turn us, O God of our salvation, and cause your anger toward us to cease. 5 Will you be angry with us for ever? will you draw out your anger to all generations? 6 Will you not revive us again: that your people may rejoice in you? 7 Show us your mercy, O LORD, and grant us your salvation.

8.5 Only for Sins Which Are Past
Romans 3:21-25 21 But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets; 22 Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Y’shua the Messiah unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference: 23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; 24 Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Y’shua the Messiah: 25 Whom God has set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;

2 Peter 1:9 (KJV) 9 But he that lacketh these things is blind, and cannot see afar off, and hath forgotten that he was purged from his OLD SINS.

8.6 Clothed in Righteousness
Isaiah 61:10 10 I will greatly rejoice in the LORD, my soul shall be joyful in my God; for he has clothed me with the garments of salvation, he has covered me with the robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decks himself with ornaments, and as a bride adorns herself with her jewels. HOW?
Romans 13:14 14 But put you on the Lord Y’shua the Messiah, and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfill the lusts thereof.
Job 29:14 14 I put on righteousness, and it clothed me: my judgment was as a robe and a diadem.

2 Timothy 2:22 22 Flee also youthful lusts: but follow righteousness, faith, charity, peace, with them that call on the Lord out of a pure heart.

8.7 Imputed Righteousness
Romans 4:17-24 17 (As it is written, I have made you a father of many nations,) before him whom he believed, even God, who quickens the dead, and calls those things which be not as though they were. 18 Who against hope believed in hope, that he might become the father of many nations, according to that which was spoken, So shall your seed be. 19 And being not weak in faith, he considered not his own body now dead, when he was about an hundred years old, neither yet the deadness of Sara's womb: 20 He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God; 21 And being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able also to perform. 22 And therefore it was imputed to him for righteousness. 23 Now it was not written for his sake alone, that it was imputed to him; 24 But for us also, to whom it shall be imputed, if we believe on him that raised up Y’shua our Lord from the dead;

FAITH - Section 9

What is Faith?

9.1 Faith is doing what God commands
Hebrews 11:4 By faith Abel offered unto God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, by which he obtained witness that he was righteous, God testifying of his gifts: and by it he being dead yet speaks.
9.2 Faith is pleasing God
Hebrews 11:5 By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and was not found, because God had translated him: for before his translation he had this testimony, that he pleased God.
9.3 Faith is coming to God through a diligent seeking
Hebrews 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.
9.4 Faith is doing that which is logically stupid, just because God said to do it
A. NOAH AND ABRAHAM
Hebrews 11:7-11 By faith Noah, being warned of God of things not seen as yet, moved with fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his house; by the which he condemned the world, and became heir of the righteousness which is by faith. By faith Abraham, when he was called to go out into a place which he should after receive for an inheritance, obeyed; and he went out, not knowing whither he went. By faith he sojourned in the land of promise, as in a strange country, dwelling in tabernacles with Isaac and Jacob, the heirs with him of the same promise: For he looked for a city which has foundations, whose builder and maker is God. Through faith also Sara herself received strength to conceive seed, and was delivered of a child when she was past age, because she judged him faithful who had promised.

B. THIEF ON THE CROSS
Luke 23:40-43 40 But the other answering rebuked him, saying, Dost not you fear God, seeing you art in the same condemnation? 41 And we indeed justly; for we receive the due reward of our deeds: but this man has done nothing amiss. 42 And he said unto Y’shua, Lord, remember me when you comest into your kingdom. 43 And Y’shua said unto him, Verily I say unto you, To day shalt you be with me in paradise.
NOTE: Confessed sins (vs 41). Confessed Him as God (vs 40, 42). Confessed Christ’s innocence (Vs 41). Saw Him as Lord (vs 42). To see a man, who never held a royal office, as Lord and God while that man hangs on a cross beaten beyond recognition is logically stupid.

C. WIDOWS MITE
Mark 12:42-44 42 And there came a certain poor widow, and she threw in two mites, which make a farthing. 43 And he called unto him his disciples, and saith unto them, Verily I say unto you, That this poor widow has cast more in, than all they which have cast into the treasury: 44 For all they did cast in of their abundance; but she of her want did cast in all that she had, even all her living.
NOTE: Before and during the time of Christ, there were two collections, if you may. Some went to the Levites and the other was the “storehouse”. These two provided for the priest and the poor. This woman should have been taking but instead she gave everything she had for Adonai. In our flesh, this is logically stupid.
- In comparison to the rich ruler who could not give to the poor.

9.5 The conclusion
Believing, by faith, in the God of Abraham and of Youshua the Messiah, one diligently seeks Him, wanting to please Him by doing what He says, even if it seems logically stupid. And by faith, righteousness is given.

IMMEDIATE SALVATION? - Section 10

10.1 Holding to the End
And you shall be hated of all men for my name's sake: but HE THAT SHALL ENDURE TO THE END, THE SAME SHALL BE SAVED.

10.2 conclusion
There is no Biblical support for repeating a “five point prayer” of salvation and being saved. In fact; the Bible says we must hold fast to our faith unto death, THEN we are saved

Hebrews 6:4-6
“For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost, And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come, If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame.”

Ezekiel 18:24 24 But when the righteous turns away from his righteousness, and commits iniquity, and does according to all the abominations that the wicked man does, shall he live? All his righteousness that he has done shall not be mentioned: in his trespass that he has trespassed, and in his sin that he has sinned, in them shall he die.

SIN NOT! - Section 12

NOTE: This is what Paul means when he says we are “dead to sin” (vs 7)

Romans 6:12-13 12 Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that you should obey it in the lusts thereof. 13 Neither yield you your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God.

John 3:36
He who does not obey the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God rests upon him

Hebrews 5:9
Christ became the source of eternal salvation to all who obey him.

1 Corinthians 15:34 Awake to righteousness, and sin not; for some have not the knowledge of God: I speak this to your shame.

SINNERS DO NOT GO TO HEAVEN - Section 13

9 Know you not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, 10 Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God.

Matthew 7:22-23 22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in your name? and in your name have cast out devils? and in your name done many wonderful works? 23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, you that work iniquity.
NOTE: “iniquity” is “lawlessness”, as seen in some versions. lawlessness is sin for sin is known by the law: Romans 7:7 “What shall we say then? Is the law sin? God forbid. Nay, I had not known sin, but by the law: for I had not known lust, except the law had said, You shalt not covet.”

BLASPHEME THE HOLY SPIRIT - Section 15

In talking of a house divided itself a few verses earlier, Y’shua says:

30 He that is not with me is against me; and he that gathers not with me scatters abroad. 31 Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men. 32 And whosoever speaks a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but whosoever speaks against the Holy Ghost, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, neither in the world to come. 33 Either make the tree good, and his fruit good; or else make the tree corrupt, and his fruit corrupt: for the tree is known by his fruit.
Matt 12:30-33

28 Verily I say unto you, All sins shall be forgiven unto the sons of men, and blasphemies wherewith soever they shall blaspheme: 29 But he that shall blaspheme against the Holy Ghost has never forgiveness, but is in danger of eternal damnation: 30 Because they said, He has an unclean spirit.

What does this mean then?

28 He that despised Moses' law died without mercy under two or three witnesses: 29 Of how much sorer punishment, suppose you, shall he be thought worthy, who has trodden under foot the Son of God, and has counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and has done despite unto the Spirit of grace? 30 For we know him that has said, Vengeance belongs unto me, I will recompense, saith the Lord. And again, The Lord shall judge his people. 31 It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God. 32 But call to remembrance the former days, in which, after you were illuminated, you endured a great fight of afflictions; 33 Partly, whilst you were made a gazingstock both by reproaches and afflictions; and partly, whilst you became companions of them that were so used. 34 For you had compassion of me in my bonds, and took joyfully the spoiling of your goods, knowing in yourselves that you have in heaven a better and an enduring substance. 35 Cast not away therefore your confidence, which has great recompence of reward. 36 For you have need of patience, that, after you have done the will of God, you might receive the promise. 37 For yet a little while, and he that shall come will come, and will not tarry. 38 Now the just shall live by faith: but if any man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him. 39 But we are not of them who draw back unto perdition; but of them that believe to the saving of the soul.
Heb 10:28-39

"He that despised Moses' law" shows those who were part of the people. To despise is to reject what was given. We see this referring to "trodden under foot" as it's compared to this action to the blood of Christ in the covenant. We are to return to the former days, being that the joy when we were first "illuminated" in the salvation of our souls (vs 32). When we draw back, God has no pleasure in him (vs 38); and drawing back brings us into perdition (Vs 39).

We have an example in Acts 5:1-11, in that Ananias and Sapphira were not slain by Spirit of God for just the act of lying, but for the knowledge of whom the lie was made and making it of no account for doing so. They willfully, after receiving knowledge, sinned against the Spirit. This is not to bring us into fearful of the death of the flesh for such actions, but for the death of the Spirit for dying in the flesh while in such actions.

So, Y’shua said that blaspheme of Him can be forgiven, but the blaspheme of the Spirit can not be forgiven.


7 Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you. 8 And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment:
John 16:8


20 But you have not so learned Christ; 21 If so be that you have heard him, and have been taught by him, as the truth is in Y’shua: 22 That you put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts; 23 And be renewed in the spirit of your mind; 24 And that you put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness. 25 Wherefore putting away lying, speak every man truth with his neighbor: for we are members one of another. 26 Be you angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath: 27 Neither give place to the devil. 28 Let him that stole steal no more: but rather let him labour, working with his hands the thing which is good, that he may have to give to him that needs. 29 Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers. 30 And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby you are sealed unto the day of redemption. 31 Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamor, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice: 32 And be you kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake has forgiven you.

LIVING EXAMPLES OF SALVATION - Section 16

16.1 Sodom and Gomorrah
Sodom and Gomorrah captured, in bondage, but were saved by grace (Gen 14); for Abraham refused payment (salvation is free). Yet, because they still refused to turn from their ways, judgement was set upon them by their works (Jude 1:7).

16.2 Exodus from Egypt
A lamb was sacrificed and the people had to apply the blood of that lamb. The children of Israel were in bondage but by applying the blood they were freed from bondage. After they were saved, when they were hungery God gave them bread, when they were thirsty God gave them water, and He protected them when they were attacked. After they were saved they were baptized in the Red Sea. All this God did out of Grace. Then He brings them to Sinai where He entered into a covenant with them.

God starts the Ten Commandments by saying, “I saved you, now if you love me (Ex 20:6, John 14:15) here’s My Law”. God does not give them the Law until He completely saves them from their bondage.

Now, notice this... How many of those who were saved from bondage made it to the promised land? Two. Because of rebellion and lack of faith the many who were saved by grace from bondage were judged by works and did not make it. God not only wanted to save them from Egypt, He wanted to save them from sin; justified than sanctified.

MISCELLANEOUS - Section 17

17.1 Salvation Not For Sale
Abram saved, by war, the people and refused to take. This is an allegory of salvation.

21 And the king of Sodom said unto Abram, Give me the persons, and take the goods to thyself. 22 And Abram said to the king of Sodom, I have lift up mine hand unto the Lord, the most high God, the possessor of heaven and earth, 23 That I will not take from a thread even to a shoe latchet, and that I will not take any thing that is your, lest you shouldest say, I have made Abram rich:

17.2 Balaam
15 Which have forsaken the right way, and are gone astray, following the way of Balaam the son of Bosor, who loved the wages of unrighteousness;
2 Peter 2:15

11 Woe unto them! for they have gone in the way of Cain, and ran greedily after the error of Balaam for reward, and perished in the gainsaying of Core.
Jude 1:11

In the seven churches, one, which is Purgamum, started selling salvation; indulgences.

Y’shua ask’s for money, but not for Himself but for the poor; not even passed though Him.

21 Then Y’shua beholding him loved him, and said unto him, One thing you lack: go your way, sell whatsoever you have, and give to the poor, and you shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, take up the cross, and follow me.

17.3 Prosperity Message
11 Yea, they are greedy dogs which can never have enough, and they are shepherds that cannot understand: they all look to their own way, every one for his gain, from his quarter.

13 For from the least of them even unto the greatest of them every one is given to covetousness; and from the prophet even unto the priest every one deals falsely.

AVOID SINFUL PEOPLE - Section 18

Now we command you, brethren, in the name of our Lord Y’shua the Messiah, that you withdraw yourselves from every brother that walks disorderly, and not after the tradition which he received of us.
2 Thess 3:6

This is not to say that we don’t associate with sinners, as Christ accompanied himself with sinners. Yet, there are some who absolutely reject and refuse to see the light; they like the darkness they are in. At this point, we must not cast our pearls before the swine (Matt 7:6).
