"Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth." 2 Timothy 2:15

What makes this site any different from any other prophecy sites? Prophecy books of the Bible have so many symbols, so many stories, so many interpretations, it’s the perfect combination for a headache. What makes us different? We understand the very important principle of expository Bible study. What does that mean? That means we understand that, while the Bible was preserved for us, in this generations (as well as all others), the Bible was written to THEM, there, in that time. This means the Bible revolves around a different culture, language, people, and time. We need to understand what the book says to them before we determine what it’s saying to us. This is important because the Bible can never say what it never said; and it can never mean what it never meant. Let me see if I can explain it through an example.

Most modern teachings of prophecy revolve around trying to determine what the symbols of Revelation mean. Yet, they are trying to determine what they mean to us, in our day, or possibly the future. The first thing we must ask is, “Who was the book of Revelation written too?”

I was in the Spirit on the Lord's Day, and I heard behind me a loud voice, as of a trumpet, 11 saying, “ I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last,” and, “ What you see, write in a book and send it to the seven churches which are in Asia: to Ephesus, to Smyrna, to Pergamos, to Thyatira, to Sardis, to Philadelphia, and to Laodicea.
(Revelation 1:10-11 NKJV)

Contrary to belief, or at least how the book is taught, the book of Revelation was not written to us, or even to a people in a mythical period of seven years at the end of time. The book of Revelation was written to seven churches in Asia Minor in the first century. God does not hide His truths from His people; therefore, the people in those seven churches would have understood what the symbols mean. After all, there is a blessing for ALL who read, understand, and do what it written in the book (Rev 1:3). That would mean that the book of Revelation was applicable to the seven churches in first century Asia Minor; and it means it’s applicable to us. The first thing we need to do is determine what’s it’s saying to them so that we understand what it’s saying to us. If we want to understand the symbols, we must first understand the structure and purpose of prophecy and then go back 2000 years and see what those symbols meant to them. Once we know what it meant to them, we understand what it’s saying to us.

I pray you enjoy the site.
