"This calls for a mind with wisdom: the seven heads are seven mountains on which the woman is seated; 10 they are also seven kings, five of whom have fallen, one is, the other has not yet come, and when he does come he must remain only a little while." Revelation 17:9-10

In Revelation 17 we have a picture of a woman, called a whore, who is riding a beast with seven heads. The angel explains that the seven heads represent the seven hills of the city in which the woman sits. These heads also represent seven kings, or kingdoms which will be upon the earth. What are these hills and kingdoms?

There are a number of cities that have seven hills. The one mentioned here must have an apostate church within the city. There are three possibilities for the city of seven hills. There's Washington DC, which we will discuss why I mention this in a moment, there's also Israel, and then there's Rome. A woman represents the church in prophecy therefore Israel would be out as they don't have a church, they still reject Christ as Messiah. Washington DC has several churches, none of which stands out as a dominating church. The fact is, Rome is the only city with a dominating church. In Revelation 17 we see that the church will be "drunk with the blood of the saints, the blood of the martyrs of Jesus" vs 6 and it's a "great city that has dominion of the kings of the earth" vs 18.

Let's start with the statement in vs 18 as it will raise the most question. If the woman is a church than why would the angel say it is a great city. The fact is, there is one church that is actually a nation and even has a seat at the UN. This church persecuted and killed more Christians than any other people in the history of this world; she is drunk on the blood of the saints. That church sits in a city of seven hills and it's call catholicism. Its national name, the name of its country, is The Holy See.

While all evidence points at the Catholic church as the great whore, who are the seven kings?

Remember that the timing of the "kings" is based on the time of John, who wrote Revelation. We are told, "five of whom have fallen, one is (during the time of John), the other has not yet come" and they will "remain only a little while". Let me start with their time of rein.

We are told the last king will "remain only a little while" and what we are being told is this is the last king. There will be no more. They will remain a little while and no kingdom will take them out. The only King to remove this last king is Christ Himself.

The kings represent kingdoms. According to this prophecy, there will be seven kingdoms upon the earth before Christ returns. Five of those kingdoms have come and gone before the writing of Revelation, one was during the time of Revelation, and one will be in the future to Revelation.

The five kingdoms before John was Egypt, Assyria, Babylon, Persia, and Greece. Rome was during the time of John, which is the "one is", and there's one more kingdom that will arrive after Rome. That kingdom is none other than the United States. We've been the only other kingdom and we are a kingdom, a world power, a controlling power that operates in the exact way in which Rome operated when it was a kingdom. We are the last kingdom on earth.

So, if you've heard that America is not in end day prophecy then we can now see that is an error in theology. We are listed. We are the last kingdom and we will not fall to any other kingdom except the Kingdom of God when Christ returns.
